As I just had a peruse of the last few posts…. sorry that they’ve been a bit random these days, high summer keeps me busy elsewhere, I suddenly remembered my dream! Flying really high over turquoise seas, whitest of sands, green hilly landscape and high ridges below and can you believe it…. I was flying with Nick! How cool is that?

At this point Barbara would be wetting her Northern Irish pants, I love her… but that’s how the dream was….and we were really high up.

I used to have my colleagues at work pass me rather strange glances, especially Barbara, when I’d describe one of my flying dreams. According to “Dream Dictionary” (!) flying dreams fall under a category known as lucid dreams, i.e. you know that you’re dreaming, which indeed, I do. It’s difficult to describe how it feels, other than utterly brilliant freedom. I wanted to show how high I can fly in my dreams…

Apparently, “If you are flying with ease and are enjoying the scene and landscape below, then it suggests that you are on top of a situation. It may also mean that you have gained a new and different perspective on things. Flying dreams and the ability to control your flight is representative of your own personal sense of power.”

I’m not so sure about that as I’m not particularly aware of that sense. There have been times when I’ve flown so high that I was rather concerned so decided to drop down. The dictionary says “if you are feeling fear as you are flying or that you are flying too high, it suggests that you’re afraid of challenges and of success, maybe not ready to take the next step.”

All I know is, I can’t wait ’til my next take off, you might laugh, like Barbara does, but I don’t flap my arms like a bird, being a peacock you might expect it, no, I fly by swimming through the wonderful air. Pictured below is kinda like a normal flight height,…Wahooo! How lucky am I?
